4-Paragraph Structure Formula
1. Introduction
- Sentence 1: Paraphrase prompt (introduce the background situation).
- Sentence 2: Dual Thesis (answer both questions in different clauses of a single sentence).
2. Body Paragraph 1 (Question 1 Answer)
- Topic Sentence: Address the first question directly.
- Explanation: Provide logical steps explaining why.
- Example: Provide a supporting example.
3. Body Paragraph 2 (Question 2 Answer)
- Topic Sentence: Address the second question directly.
- Explanation: Elaborate on consequences or options.
- Example: Provide a supporting example.
4. Conclusion
- Sentence 1: Summary (summarize answers to Question 1 and 2).
- Sentence 2: Final Thought (provide a concluding recommendation).
Examiner Key Advice
Ensure both questions receive approximately equal word count and analytical depth. Answering one question in detail while neglecting the second limits Task Response.
Answer both questions clearly in your introduction.
Use clear transition links between body paragraphs.
Check that each body paragraph opens with a direct answer to its respective prompt question.
