Your privacy is non-negotiable. At IELTS Evaluator, we collect only the data necessary to provide you with accurate writing feedback. This policy outlines exactly what we track, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

We collect information to provide and improve our service:

• Account Information: When you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your email address, name, and profile picture. We do not see or store your password.
• Usage Data: We store the essays you submit and the feedback generated by our AI. This allows you to track your progress over time.
• Payment Data: All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store or have access to your credit card numbers. We only retain a transaction ID to verify your subscription status.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To Provide the Service: Generating AI feedback on your essays.
• To Improve Our Models: Anonymized essay data may be used to refine our scoring algorithms.
• Communication: Sending you service updates or billing information. We do not sell your email to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We adhere to a strict "minimal-access" policy with our infrastructure providers:

• Supabase: Used for secure database hosting and authentication management.
• OpenAI: Used for essay evaluation. Data submitted to the OpenAI API is not used to train their models, adhering to their enterprise data privacy policies.
• Lemon Squeezy: Acts as our Merchant of Record for all payments and handles tax compliance.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request full account deletion at any time by contacting support. Upon deletion, all your personal data, essays, and history will be permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.

We use essential cookies for authentication (to keep you logged in) and analytical cookies to understand site usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser.
