Use 'comprised of' and 'culminating in' for a highly professional overview.

Details 1 (Initial Processing)

In the initial stage, Material is Verb in Passive. Following this, it undergoes a process of Process Name, where it is transformed into Result.

Focus strongly on the passive voice. Use 'undergoes a process of' to describe complex actions.

Details 2 (Final Formatting)

Once this phase is complete, the Result is transported to Location. Subsequently, it is Verb in Passive before eventually being packaged for sale.

Connect paragraphs with phrase like 'Once this phase is complete'. Use 'Subsequently' instead of 'Next'.

The flow chart illustrates the various stages involved in the recycling of glass bottles. Overall, the process is comprised of three distinct stages, beginning with the collection of used glass and culminating in the delivery of renewed products to supermarkets. In the initial stage, used glass bottles are deposited into designated recycling bins by consumers. Following this, the glass is collected by trucks and transported to a specialized recycling facility. Here, it undergoes a process of rigorous cleaning and sorting by color. Once this sorting phase is complete, the glass materials are crushed into smaller fragments. Subsequently, these fragments are melted in a furnace at exceedingly high temperatures, transforming them into a molding liquid. Finally, this liquid is shaped into new bottles, which are eventually packaged and distributed for retail.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Using first or second or third linearly

Starting sentences with 'First', 'Second', 'Third', 'Fourth' is extremely mechanical and limits Grammatical Range scores.

Fix: Use time clauses: 'Following this', 'Once this phase is complete', 'Prior to being transported'.

Not changing the vocabulary from the diagram

If the diagram labes a step 'Wash Glass', and you write 'Then they wash glass', you get zero points for your own Lexical Resource.

Fix: Paraphrase the diagram's labels: 'Wash Glass' becomes 'undergoes a process of rigorous cleaning'.
